Our Philosophy
The Compass Trust Ltd currently manage 4 large secondary schools; The Billericay School, The Bromfords School, The Appleton School and Woodlands School.
Our philosophy is centered around the belief that schools can achieve better educational outcomes for students by working together as a collective entity. The Compass Trust is founded on the principles of collaboration, innovation, and inclusivity, with the aim of providing a supportive and nurturing environment that enables schools to flourish and students to succeed.
We operate on the belief that every school is unique, with its own individual strengths and challenges, and that collaboration between schools can help to share best practices, expertise, and resources to improve outcomes for all students. We also believe that providing a consistent and high-quality education across all schools in the trust can help to bridge the attainment gap and improve outcomes for disadvantaged students.
We are committed to providing a broad and balanced curriculum that reflects the needs and interests of all of our students, as well as the requirements of national education policy. We firmly believe that education should be inclusive, catering to the needs of all students, regardless of their background or ability.
In addition, we place a strong emphasis on developing and supporting every member of our staff, providing opportunities for career development and training, and creating a culture of collaboration and mutual support.
Overall, our philosophy is focused on building a supportive and inclusive community of schools, with the ultimate goal of improving educational outcomes and life chances for all students.
